Dear Bob, Lynne and I really appreciate your immediate response to our heat pump failure on the very hot evening of July 6th. I will come to your office early in the morning on July 26th to pay the balance of the invoice.

Bob, I just wanted to thank you for coming out to the house yesterday (on a Sunday afternoon) on such short notice to fix our air conditioning unit. Also, I really appreciate how quickly you diagnosed the problem and carried the booster for the condenser unit in your truck. Basically, you had the unit blowing out cool air again within minutes of when you came. This was greatly appreciated; since the temperature in the house had climbed to over 86 by the time we recognized that we had a problem. I’m sure that you probably had other plans with your own family on a Sunday afternoon, but my wife and I both are very happy at how quickly you responded to our call and resolved the problem. Thanks again for your efficiency and technical expertise.

This note is not about how you can help me, but instead it is about how you DID help me. In August, in the middle of the night on one of the hottest nights of the season this year, my A/C unit quit working. I suffer with asthma and if there is one thing that a person with asthma cannot do, it is to be in the hot humid weather without A/C. As stated, it was in the middle of the night and when I looked in the phone book and picked out the companies that were well known to the area. I called several companies, large well known companies and waited and waited only to be ignored. Then when I was contacted, the service technician asks me if it can wait until morning as I had just woken him up! Well, I thought that if you worked in this type business, being on call means you get up and go out to the customers as assigned to you by your dispatcher? I guess I got that one wrong 🙂 because he straight out asked me to wait until morning. My husband and myself live in a mobile home and if anyone has ever been inside one, you know that they heat up like an oven in no time at all. My breathing was becoming more difficult with each passing hour, so, I went back to the phone book and began to look again and chose companies with websites. The very first one I called was Top Notch and this was about 1-1:30AM when I place my call. I did not get an immediate call back, however, I did get a call back at the first sign of light outside. Bob called me and began apologizing for not returning my call stating that he just slept right through the call. He explained that the company had been so busy recently that he had not been getting a lot of sleep and I told him that I totally understood it and he came to my house almost immediately and within 5 minutes, he knew what the problem was. I told Bob that I did not care who called me back at the point of his arrival because he was so concerned and cared enough to get to me ASAP to check out the problem, I told him the job was his. He told us we needed a new unit which we had kind of figured on because the unit broken was 21 years old. Within an hour of placing some calls, I had service men at my house with a brand new unit ready to install so that my breathing would improve. It is unusual in this day and time to find someone that truly cares about others as Bob and his company seem to do. I have dealt with them all right down to the young lady that I spoke with regarding the new maintenance agreement that we decided to take out with Bob because we wanted to feel safe with our heating system and know that if something goes wrong with it, I will have hired a company that cares about their customers. Well, I found that in Top Notch Heating and Air Conditioning.

I want to thank Bob and his staff for treating us like we mattered to them. It is hard in this day and age to find a company that will treat you like your family and make sure you are taken care of at a reasonable price. Thank you so much for all you did for us in August and for making me feel safe with the new maintenance agreement that we did purchase with Top Notch. We feel safe in knowing that if something happens, Bob and his crew will be there for us and we know that not only are they caring, but they are honest as well. When this job was completed, it looked as if nothing ever happened because not only do they install the new one, they take away the trash with taking the old unit with them. So not only are they kind, polite and service oriented, they are all very professional in the way in which they handle their customers. The young lady in the office is the topping on the cake as she will drop all she is doing to help if you have questions or if you need something from Top Notch.

You can be sure that anyone I know that needs your type of service, trust me when I tell you that I will be recommending your company and I will do it without worry. Robert Willin of Top Notch Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration recently serviced our oil furnace. He also installed a new outdoor air conditioning unit. These installations and services were well done professionally. On the basis of his service and knowledge I highly recommend this firm.

The Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center is fortunate to be large and busy enough to have its own maintenance department to work on and maintain much of our day-to-day operations and equipment.
There have been times that it has become necessary to bring in outside help and contractors that can work on specific issues that our staff is not capable of fixing or has the lack of knowledge to do so. I just want you to know that I feel very fortunate that one of our maintenance workers took the opportunity to call you and address our air conditioning and kitchen “walk-in” needs. It is extremely important that when we need a job done, especially when it involves out of order guest rooms, it is imperative that we get it back up and running as quickly as possible. In the short time we have been doing business with you, we have found you to be very professional, straight forward, reasonable and timely in getting the job done. There have been a number of times in the past with other HVAC contractors that we have felt like we were being mislead, misdirected and even cheated when it came time to settle the invoice. That has not been our experience with you.

I hope to inform readers of this letter that all companies we deal with are not caring about faithful customers. My oil company of over 20 years left me without heat after their service man informed me my furnace could not be fixed and would have to be replaced. This on Friday Jan. 8, about 5 p.m., with my home already very cold.
I told him I am a very senior person, alone with family far away and asked if they could put a new one in soon because snow and cold were predicted for Saturday Jan. 9, and Sunday Jan. 10. He made a call and was told they could do nothing before Monday or Tuesday and suggested I stay somewhere else over the weekend. He left!
This was about 6 p.m. Friday evening. I was afraid my pipes would freeze, so I let many of my spigots dripping and feeling upset and cold, I bundled up under cover and quilts and spend a very uncomfortable Friday night.
Very early Saturday morning, I told a friend about my situation. He said he would get me some help; he called Top Notch Heating & Air Conditioning. I spoke with a very understanding person and he told me to expect him to be here and take care of getting me warm.
He arrived in about 35 minutes. With him he brought heaters to warm a few rooms while he measured everything, told me all the details and left to get a new furnace. In an hour or two, a new furnace arrived, with three great guys who took over immediately and I had a warm house by Saturday Jan. 9, in the afternoon. Thank you Top Notch Heating and Air Conditioning. You really are “Top Notch”! …

Dear Bob, I am writing this letter to thank you so very much for your generous service that you provided me yesterday with my A/C unit.
I have only live in Delaware for 1 month and have been struggling to get on my feet. Then when I came home from work, to find a hot, stuffy, humid air that took my breath away and realized that my A/C unit had shut down, I was not prepared for this unexpected expense!
When I spoke with you regarding this issue, you told me you would call me first thing in the morning and come by to take a look at it. I am so very grate for your follow up! By the very next morning, my A/C was working fine again!
